Jackdaws Cottage

Sleeps 8

Jackdaws cottage is part of the long barn which was constructed in 1830 for the Rendell family and the upstairs of which was the venue for the grass auctions in the years before World War II. Mr Pengelly then the owner of Kingston and a wily businessman allegedly served whisky to encourage the bidders.

The ground floor is all open plan with a well equipped kitchen and dining area for 8. The living area has a corner sofa and 42 inch smart TV . Upstairs there are four bedrooms two kingsize and two twin rooms with two family bathrooms. There are two staircases in this cottage one either end of the cottage with a Kingsize and twin room located at the top of each one which makes it great for two families sharing. Outside there is a secure picket fence garden with views over the fields and beyond to the village of Broadhempston.
