Our commitment to sustainability extends to every aspect of our operations, including our partnership with Eco Laundry for all our linen needs. This collaboration ensures that our linens are cleaned using environmentally conscious methods, reducing water and energy consumption while avoiding harmful chemicals. By working with this Eco Laundry, we contribute to a greener future without compromising on the quality and luxury our guests expect.

Our estate is sustainably heated and supplied with hot water through the use of biomass boilers. These boilers use organic materials, such as wood chips and pellets, as a renewable energy source. By utilising biomass boilers, we not only reduce our carbon footprint but also ensure a consistent and reliable heating system. This eco-friendly approach aligns with our commitment to sustainability, providing guests with warmth and comfort while minimising environmental impact.

The estate established itself in the 1640’s when the Sheriff of Devon resided there. After escorting William of Orange from Brixham to Newton Abbot he sadly passed away and the house burnt down. In 1735 a wealthy wool merchant from Buckfastleigh rebuilt the magnificent house and outbuildings, however he was later imprisoned in London for an outstanding debt. Various people have owned it since and the Americans were stationed at Kingston during the D-Day landings. In 2013 the estate was taken over and sensitively restored into an award- winning events venue.
